Print Shop
The Students' Union print shop is for staff, societies and students alike. We have 3 price lists:
- Students' Union Clubs and Societies, Halls of Residence and University Departments
- Individual Students and Student Groups which are not Union recognised/affiliated
- External Organisations and Individuals
Opening Hours
Opening Hours Week commencing Monday 15th February
Monday 15th, Thursday 18th, Friday 19th February: 10.30-12.30am
Tuesday 16th, Wednesday 17th February: 2.00-3.30pm
Submissions and collections of print jobs can be made outside of these hours.
PLEASE NOTE: Some services may not be available during this week - please phone 0117 954 5800 to check.
Normal Opening Hours
Monday-Wednesday 9.30am to 12pm and 3pm to 4pm
Thursday 9.30am to 12pm
Friday closed
Email submissions and collection of completed jobs can be made outside of these hours. The Print Shop will be closed during August and at other times for staff vacations (please check).
How to pay
Individuals: Payments can be made by cash or cheque only
Clubs, Societies, Events and Activities
You do not have to pay upfront; charges are made at the end of each month as follows:
- Clubs and Societies: Depending on what kind of club/society you are you will either have your charges for the month deducted from your account through our internal code system (usually Affiliated societies) or you will be invoiced (usually Recognised Societies, Associated societies and "Known" Groups).
- Events and Activities: You will usually be invoiced at the end of the month (when VAT will be added if applicable) or charges will be deducted automatically if you have been assigned an account code.
NB If your club/society has outstanding debts to the Union you will have to pay cash on collection.

Submitting a Print Job
Please submit your print jobs via email only to ubu-printshop@bristol.ac.uk
If your order cannot be submitted via email, then please come in during opening hours.
We prefer you to submit files in pdf or jpeg format, and as individual A4 pages where appropriate - please see Layout & Design section in our downloadable Guide for Clubs and Societies.
Using the Students' Union Logo
You'll need to include the UBU logo to avoid posters being taken down in the building. You may not be allowed to use our logo when promoting external clubs and bars. Read the guidelines and download our logo.
We offer the following services
• Digital Black and White (or coloured paper) photocopying up to A3, including printing from electronic media
• Digital Full Colour photocopying up to A3, including printing from electronic media
• Large format printing from electronic media - A2, A1, A0
• OHP Transparencies - Black and White or Full Colour
• Booklet-making - automatic A5 or A4 booklet-making with centre stapling
• Automatic corner or side stapling (free of charge)
• Automatic hole punching (free of charge)
• Comb (spiral) Binding up to 250 sheets approx.
• Thermal Binding up to 250 sheets approx
• Guillotines including A3 and heavy duty cutting (free of charge)
• Printing from disc, CD and USB
• Scanning (free of charge)
• No handling charges
