Student Counselling Service
1a Priory Road (up the outside staircase), tel. 0117 954 6655 .
Many of our decisions are made and problems clarified or resolved by talking them over with someone, friends, family, tutors. However, there are times when it seems right to seek help elsewhere - the Counselling Service exists to meet this need. You might be hesitant about using the Service because you may think your problem is not important enough, but a good thing to remember is that if something is worrying you, it's worth talking about. Counselling can help you to develop a greater understanding of yourself and enable you to see where you have choices. Through counselling you may discover new strengths and weaknesses within yourself and feel more in control of your own life. The identity of any student using the service, as well as anything that is said in the counselling session, is completely confidential. Counsellors can be seen between 9am and 5pm, but the receptionist is only there between 9am and 4pm. Go to the Student Counselling Service website.
