'We started the game quickly going up 17-4 within 5 minutes. By the end of the quarter we were up 29-14, a commanding lead. However, complacency set in for the second quarter, we didn't show our opponents enough respect, we played sloppy and lazily on defence and allowed our opponents a way back into the match. At the half time break it was 56-37, still leading but only winning the quarter by 4 points. Up step Guy Coles, the coach, a stern telling off for lack of effort in a constructive team talk caused us all to raise our game and play some proper basketball. We started the third quarter with a new breath of life, scoring 12 unanswered points, from this we kept building, the result was put beyond all doubt when we scored 4 3-pointers to see off the final quarter. WOMENS VOLLEYBALL 1ST vs. CARDIFF

"We had never played Cardiff Women before, and weren't sure what to expect. Everyone was fairly nervous at the start, as Cardiff started with a strong warm-up and loud chants, however the girls kept it together and solidly beat Cardiff in only 35 minutes.
