Welcome to the Bike Club
We are a large and friendly group of over 150 cyclists covering Cross Country, Downhill, Road, BMX and Dirt Jumping. We meet at least twice a week for rides to the local woods which offer a great selection of fast trails, challenging climbs, downhill routes and jumps to suit everyone.
We cater for everyone, whether you're new to riding or just looking to keep fit, a seasoned roadie, a cross country racer or a hardcore downhiller. Our regular away trip spots include; Afan, Cwm Carn and the Forest of Dean. The club has a great social side and when we're not out riding we often get together for a drink down the pub or a meal out. We have had great success as a club inlcuding winning last years club of the year...
Achievements
The club attends a number of events such as the Bristol 12 and the BUSA's (including; Mountain Bike Championships, Hill-climb and Cyclocross). A new event for 2009 was 4X racing. At last years BUSA's, our girls team won all their races and our mens team did extremely well in a very strong field, narrowly missing the podium twice. As the club has grown, more and more girls have joined. Although the club is still mostly guys, the girls have been showing their presence for years by winning races, including the BUSA's. The club often achieves high podium positions with both its male and female riders at the races.

If you'd like to join, please get in touch with Danny on the committee page or check us out at Fresher's fair. Everyone is welcome, whatever skill level, girls and guys! (Girls click here!) Joining costs £20 and you must be affiliated to the Athletic Union first.
