Health and Safety

Introduction

Many of the activities carried out by clubs and societies have the potential to be dangerous. That’s why ensuring the safety of all those participating in or organising these activities is a priority of the University of Bristol Students Union.

Health and safety doesn’t have to be boring and it’s not about creating unecessary paper work.  We do however have to ensure that what we do is safe and legal.

Health and safety is a shared responsibility, the Union has a duty to look out for, and ensure the safety of, all who work in and deal with it, so do clubs and societies.

In the coming months we’ll be reviewing and updating our existing polices and procedures and would welcome your input.  The content of this site will change regularly so keep checking back for updates…

If in the meantime you have any questions or require further information please contact the ‘do it hub’ located on the 4th floor in the Union Building
