Part-time Officers
A Part-time Officer is an unpaid student representative who is elected by the student body. These students continue their studies alongside the officer role and have no set hours. The term of office for a Part-time Officer is one academic year.
Each position has a specific area of responsibility as defined in the Union’s Constitution. Like Full-time Officers, each Part-time Officer’s core role is to represent the students at the University of Bristol as an embodiment of our vision to help "University of Bristol students to create a world class student life for themselves".
Part-time Officers play a big role in organising forums on particular issues or the shared experiences of a particular group of students. Find out more about Student Forums.

Ethics Officer: Chryssiana Foroglou
As your ethics officer, I am here to ensure that you all have a good time at university whilst
simultaneously being treated fairly. I am here for anyone who needs advice about a situation they feel has been handled unethically or in a morally ambiguous manner. I'm also here to try and promote more equality within the University and the Union, such as trying to encourage more Fair Trade goods in university cafés and movements like so. Environment Officer: Anvi Mridul
Hi! I’m Anvi, the Environment Part-time Officer. My role is to ensure that the university and the union function as sustainably as possible. I’m also responsible for helping make our lifestyles and university experience more environment-friendly. Widening Participation Officer: Jayam Gupta
As the Part-time Widening Participation Officer, I work for the general welfare of the students in terms of education and resources. The role involves working with a lot of different things that are common to the University and the union.
