Hi, as you can probably see, I’m Max and I’m the Vice-President Community this year at UBU. This means that I was elected, alongside my five full-time officer colleagues, to set the policy direction of the Students’ Union and make sure that it remains student led, with as much input from as many students as possible.
My job makes me responsible for a diversity of areas, from transport and housing to supporting students working on ethical and environmental projects and, most importantly I believe, encouraging and developing links between the union, the student community, the city and its many community groups. If you have an interest in any of these areas, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
I came to Bristol four years ago and, having just finished my degree in Philosophy and Politics in June, I’m genuinely over the moon to still be here and be amongst the hustle and bustle of a great university. Hopefully you’ll be seeing me around on campus, at events or in the Union. If you don’t manage to catch me in the meantime check out my blog (on the right!) to see what I’ve been up to, email me any time, or come and find me in the office (4th floor, Just Ask office, UBU), or in the Info Point on Tyndall Avenue.
