University life isn’t all about essays, exams and stress. Through the Students’ Union you also have access to a huge range of activities from societies to fundraising with RAG, from student media to volunteering projects. My job is to ensure that whatever you want to we support you as much as possible.

Dom Oliver — Sport & Health

Everyone coming to Bristol will have a different level of involvement in sporting activity. From those who have never seen a football before to our international athletes. My job is to make sure that everybody is catered for throughout their time at Bristol and have every opportunity to live a healthy lifestyle.

Part of my job is to advise and represent students on any issues they face while at Bristol. I am also committed to developing strong community links and ensuring an environmentally and ethically sound Union and University.

Gus Baker — Union President

I am responsible for communicating your message to the outside world and to the University. Over the year UBU will be campaigning to make your life at Bristol better. From highlighting the hidden costs of degrees to opposing cuts to vital services, I am in charge of making sure we are representing your priorities.

I am here to make sure that all students, regardless of background, sexuality or ethnicity, can make the most of their time at Bristol. Throughout the year I’m going to be actively promoting student welfare, celebrating diversity and making sure that the students’ union campaigns on issues that matter to you.

Josh Alford — Education

I aim to be an approachable face on campus campaigning on issues ranging from hidden course costs to better stocked libraries to fairer appeal processes. I support the student representatives on courses across the University to ensure students are represented effectively.
