Motion to Establish an Online Used Textbook Database

The Union Notes: That core texts for many units remain relevant for more than one year. That many new copies of textbooks are unnecessarily purchased with existing copies unused. That no publicised system exists for redistributing used textbooks from those who have no further use for them to those who need them. That this would both make money for those with unused textbooks and save money for those buying textbooks. That it would have a positive environmental impact. The Union Proposes: To establish an online utility to share information about which books are available and to facilitate sales and transfers of them between students.
