Next Wednesday students from Birmingham Uni and all around the country will demand injunctions banning protest on campus are removed.
Simon Furse, a 2nd year student at the University of Birmingham, took part in a peaceful sit in to try and raise awareness and dialogue about the effects of the white paper. In response, the University of Birmingham singled him and on the 15th, the same day as this rally, he is being taken to a full misconduct committee at which he faces expulsion.
UBU supports this protest, as does NUS, and is offering to subsidise the cost of travel for any Bristol students wishing to travel.
By joining the Facebook event, we will assume that you are intending to go - please book your tickets, whether bus or train (your choice) and we will reimburse you £5 on production of receipt. Due to budget constraints and the protest not directly affecting Bristol students, we unfortunately cannot offer more.
