You’ve heard of Banksy right? Well, if you like graffiti art there is one street in Bristol that should be first on your visit list – Nelson Street. Only a short walk from Broadmead Shopping area in the city centre, the street boasts the best in graffiti street art from international artists.
This week urban artists from all over the world will be coming to Bristol and transforming Nelson Street for the second year running through the See No Evil urban art exhibition, making it the UK’s biggest permanent street art project.
Last year, buildings as high as ten storeys were covered in vibrant murals depicting everything from robots to ice creams and this year is set to be even better.
The event was founded by Bristol street artist Inkie and will run all week with painters continuing well into the evenings. The project is supported by the Arts Council, London 2012 Festival and Bristol City Council.
