Following 2 minute speeches by the six candidates running for Student Trustee at the Student Council on Tuesday 8th May, the Council elected Zaki Dogliani and Lucy King for 1-year terms and Sheherazade El-Sukhun and Lindsay Rose for 2-year terms.  As the Council meeting was not quorate, the results will be ratified by the next Student Council provisionally scheduled for June.

The four newly elected Student Trustees will complete the 15 member Board of Trustees, which meets four times per academic year and is the highest decision-making body in the Students' Union.

"Being a Trustee Board member for UBU has been really fulfilling, it has been great to get more involved with the SU, to represent students' opinions at a much higher level and to gain an insight into how a multi-million pound charity is run. I would encourage anyone considering applying to be a student trustee to absolutely go for it."
