The ILRT department at Bristol University has designed a Mobile Campus Assistant pilot website (together with some additional mobile apps) and are inviting all students and staff to try it out and give feedback via their online survey.
From any smartphone you should be able to access the Mobile Campus Assistant via your web browser at http://mca.ilrt.bris.ac.uk/. You will find useful information such as how many PC's are free at the library and computer centre, today's news and weather and more. If your smartphone is GPS-aware then you will be able to access live bus departures information linked to the campus map. Several iPhone and Android users have already found this useful when traveling to and from the University.
Please feel free to try this pilot out and if you can please give as much feedback as possible via the online survey at https://www.survey.bris.ac.uk/web-futures/mcabristol. Few universities around the country offer anything like this at the moment and your feedback may help in moving the pilot to a service.
Thank you and we hope you enjoy Mobile Campus Assistant!
