Mental Wellbeing Week 20-24th February 2012

Fact: 1 in 4 students will suffer from mental health problems at some point during their lifetime.

Myth: There’s nothing you can do about it.

There’s loads of different ways you can look after your mind, just like you can for your body.

Mental Wellbeing Week is a brand new week of events and activities promoting a healthy lifestyle and a healthy mind.

On Monday 20th of February there will be a Festival of the Mind launch event which will take place outside the Sport, Exercise and Health Centre between 11 and 3. There will be free healthy snacks, free massages, a fruit stall, a pedal power smoothie maker and more.

If you have anything bothering you, want to find out how the University and Students’ Union can help, or you just fancy a chat, you can come and speak to our Street Doc, Street Counsellor and Street Advice teams on their (very comfy) sofa.

For the rest of the week there’ll be events, workshops, treats and surprises around the University and the Union to make you smile!

Sport, Exercise and Health will be offering special deals on exercise classes, relaxation massages and other freebies so collect your vouchers at the Festival of the Mind.
