Advice

Who we are

Our professional advisers, Graham and Katy, are here to answer your queries and help you on almost any issue that might affect you whilst you're at the University of Bristol – be they academic, financial, social or personal.

What we do

Our advice is free, friendly, confidential, impartial and accessible to all students. Our aim is to advise and support you in a way which empowers you to make informed choices about your situation. We are a one-stop shop for student support: pointing you in the right direction where necessary but ensuring support throughout.

Don't forget that advice is just one of the ways we support students! We also run a peer mentoring scheme; assist with student-led support groups and run study skills training courses.

Where we are

The Just Ask advice centre is located on the 4th floor of the Students' Union. We are open from 10am-4pm, Monday - Friday.

From Wednesday 25th January we will be running Welfare Wednesdays on Wednesday afternoons at the Info Point (on Tyndall Avenue). You can drop in from 2-4 pm to chat with an advisor about anything which is bothering you - from academic concerns to housemate squabbles. If you need more than just a chat, drop in anyway and we'll book an appointment for you.
