What is Esperanto about?
Cal Soc is for anyone who wants to eat, drink and be merry all in the name of celebrating the best small country in the world, Scotland! This year we hope to continue on the success of last year's two Reeling balls with a St Andrew's Day Ball at the end of the November; a Burns' Supper to celebrate the life of our National Bard; and a Spring Highland Fling.
WelshSoc - a society for anyone who is Welsh (or wants to be!) or just loves the way that the Welsh have fun - no sheep necessary! We have socials throughout the year ranging from a local Bristol bar crawl to the infamous Mumbles Mile as well as supporting Wales in the football and rugby – Grand Slam 2008! We're all about the positive mental attitude.
Slavsoc is a society that brings together students of Russian and Czech, native speakers of Slavic languages and anyone with a passion for Slavic culture. Our socials feature every aspect of Slavic culture, from Ukrainian lager right through to Georgian wine, not forgetting the all-important Russian vodka.
