Elderly Dinner Dance

Description:

We are hosting the Annual Elderly Dinner Dance in the Avon Gorge, Students' Union, and we would like YOU to join us!

Every year we provide transport, food, entertainment and dancing for up to 100 older people from Bristol.

This Year, Foodcycle (www.foodworksuk.org) are providing the food, Tubbs (www.tubbs.org.uk) are providing Entertainment  and we are having a ceilidh.  All we need to do now, is gather a group of willing volunteers who would like to help serve the food, eat the food, serve the wine and even enjoy the wine, dance and be entertained!

If this sounds like something you could manage, join the facebookgroup at http://www.facebook.com/#!/event.php?eid=353909838372&ref=mf or email rachel.miller@bristol.ac.uk for more details.

Events

SCA holds events throughout the year. These are a great opportunity for those who want a taster of what goes on in SCA or feel they cannot make a regular commitment but want to be involved. This page gives details of both SCA Community Events, and SCA Student Events.

Accredited Awards

Volunteering can make a huge difference to your life and it's down to you to make the most of it! In today's world you need to show that you are more than the sum of your paper qualifications. You need to show future employers that you have initiative and can communicate and solve problems outside of the academic world.

Projects

Projects are at the heart of SCA. Every year, some new projects begin and others stop, but at the moment we operate about 25 projects in the community, covering an enormous variety of subjects and types of work. Each one is managed by one or two student volunteers who organise the project team; all projects are overseen by the SCA Co-ordinator.
