Bristol University’s very own morris side is in its 31st year – free-spirited, energetic, colourful and comic, yet relaxed and fun. Dedicated to keeping tradition alive and up-to-date. Come and wear brilliantly coloured rag shirts and strap on some bells! Dance with sticks, hankies, bare hands (or even rubber chickens), to the music of accordions, whistles, fiddles and drums. We’ll teach you all you need to know - beginners are always welcome. Practice is on Thursday evenings in the Union. We dance in pubs and at all kinds of events, from village fayres to folk festivals, in Bristol and beyond. Our Folk Club runs a weekly pub session on Monday nights, and the occasional ceilidh. All musicians and singers are welcome, any standard or style, or just come for a drink and listen to the music.
