Bristol University Music Society (BUMS)

BUMS is one of the biggest and most active Union societies, running a variety of orchestras and other ensembles (both auditioned and non-auditioned), which each rehearse weekly and perform several concerts during the year (including on tours, with the main tour this year taking place during the Easter holiday).

Members can participate in any of the ensembles (audition permitting), and are also provided with Chamber Music opportunities, access to quality practice rooms in the Union building, and free or discounted entry to many concerts as well as a number of music shops and restaurants. The society also has a varied social calendar, the highlight of which is the annual Performing Arts Ball.
