Raids are street collections, and take place every Saturday during term time. We collect for different charities in different towns so Raggies get to travel around the UK, all for free and all for charity! Once we get to our location, we arm our collectors with a lovely permit, stickers, a free charity t-shirt and a bucket to collect with. We all meet up for lunch halfway through the day, so there's time to relax a bit and fuel up for the rest of the afternoon.

Are Raids for you?
Raids are for everyone, whether you're a competitive type and out to beat all the past collecting records, or whether you just want to do your bit for charity and collect for a few hours, then explore whichever beautiful town or city we are in.
Raids are an excellent way to meet people too - after each raid we travel back to Bristol and gather together in Bar 100 to hear the day's totals. The feel-good factor is phenomenal, so it's definitely something worth giving a go whilst you're at uni.
Megaraids

Occasionally we have "megaraids", where a number of RAGs from different universities all descend on a town together. This is a great way to meet other Raggies from around the country! We also take part in special events like Bridgwater Carnival, Bath Fireworks, and the Hogmanay Festival in Edinburgh.
Come on a Raid!
Contact the Raids Coordinator, Baxter, on rag-raids@bristol.ac.uk if you're interested in getting involved or just want to know more!
