RAG if your unfamiliar with the term stands for RAISE and Give, and basically that's what we do, we raise loads of money for a variety of charities and good

causes and then give it away. Joining RAG is

a great opportunity to meet new people, have a laugh, and so something worthwhile with your time at university. Still not sure? Heres or top 5 reasons why volunteering with RAG is for you....

1- Its good to give- FACT . giving generates all sorts of good feelings, so here at RAG we guarantee regular amounts of warm fuzzy feelings from doing good.

r a good person and whats more you can gainloads of useful skills such as events organisation, dealing with money, publicity, marketing and communications, giving you the edge.

4. We offer once in a lifetime opportunities to our volunteers, such as climbing Kilimanjaro and sky diving, fancy seeing the world? well we can help you.

5. We can take you all around the country, our street collections take you to cities all over the country, so gives you a chance to see our green and pleasant land. .

Who are we?

RAG is the charity fundraising arm of t

he University of Bristol Union. We are the largest (and oldest) society in the Union, and one of the cheapest to join at only £2 for lifetime membership!

Our aim is to raise money for cha

rity in any way possible. Through our weekly RAG Raids, RAG Procession, the BARMY pub crawl, regular student events, and the biggest and most hectic week of the year - RAG Week. We're open to suggestions for new ways to raise money, and willing to help you put on your own event - just email the RAG Coordinator for more information.

Over the last few years we've

raised 100s of thousands of pounds for charity, including over £40,000 dedicated towards local Bristol charities and projects. RAG's fundraising total since its inception 85 years ago and is now well over a million.
