Student Volunteering Coordinator

You are passionate about community engagement and the value of volunteers making a genuine difference. You are a good communicator, well versed in administrative tasks, coordination of projects and have a thorough understanding of student volunteering. The Volunteering Coordinator will be responsible for managing the effective administration of UBU's volunteering projects. The post holder will oversee the publicising of volunteering opportunities, coordination of volunteer recruitment and offer ongoing support of student volunteers. This post is an excellent developmental role for someone interested in a career in the voluntary sector and offers experience working for a diverse, dynamic and rapidly developing organisation.

 

Role Purpose

Manage the effective administration of UBU’s volunteering projects.

Publicise volunteering opportunities and coordinate the recruitment of volunteers.

Deliver training to new volunteers.

Student Fundraising (RAG) Coordinator

 The Student Fundraising Coordinator is key to enabling students to raise money for charity through RAG (Raising and Giving) and through their individual clubs and societies. This is an extremely busy role for which UBU is looking for a highly organised, enthusiastic and efficient coordinator.

 

Role Purpose

To manage the day-to-day running of RAG and develop new and existing fund-raising opportunities

Advise and assist the RAG committees and volunteers in the organisation and promotion of their activities

Ensure effective publicity of UBU’s fundraising projects.

Student Staff for Freshers Fair 2012

 

We are recruiting for Marshals and till operators to facilitate our biggest event of the year – the Freshers Fair.
 
Fresher’s Fair is the first major event that many of our students both new and returning will get an opportunity to engage with the Students' Union through its student-led sports, societies, volunteering and partnerships with community organisations and businesses. There will be over 250 stalls at the fair and we expect over 10,000 visitors. Your role in helping to create that environment is absolutely pivotal.
